Martin Paris is an accomplished contemporary acoustic fingerstyle guitarist. Born and raised in sunny California, Martin honed his craft amongst the backdop of the pristine wine country of Paso Robles, playing everywhere on the Central Coast. His versatile style and array of original compositions has been said by fans to be catchy, toe-tapping, beautiful and even profoundly thought provoking. His unique sound on familiar favorites adds to his live performances. And along with his storytelling of life, love of family and faith, he gives audiences the opportunity to feel welcomed and invited into the journey.
Martin began playing the guitar at an early age and studied under the careful tutelage of his father, a graduate of music and instructor of guitar. Shortly thereafter Martin became influenced by artists such as Eric Clapton, James Taylor, and the Doobie Brothers.
He then discovered the art of fingerstle guitar listening to the influences of Acoustic Alchemy, Peppino D'Agostino, Laurence Juber and Tommy Emmanuel. By now Martin was playing more on the Central Coast and gaining his own audience, playing many venues, wineries and countless shows as a soloist and founder of the Martin Paris Band.
Martin has three projects released on Solid Air Records, a Grammy award winning record label, and three independently released projects including a Christmas album. His music can be found on Spotify, Pandora Radio and on iTunes.
Martin has been on several television and radio shows and his music has played on KCBX radiobroadcast on the Central Coast. He has opened in concert for Laurence Juber (formerly in Wings) Peppino D'Agostino and Karla Bonoff. As well as sharing the stage with guitarists Tony McManus, Kenny Sultan and Dorian Michael. Martin has even had the priveledge of performing a song with Tommy Emmanuel.
A father of four and grandparent of three, Martin and his wife recently relocated to the greater Chattanooga, TN. area.
